Energy Sector Strategy Development

When the Aqaba Economic Zone was still in the process of defining its master plan it called GVE to help it define the energy needs of the zone and how the energy sector could transform the economic zone itself. 

GVE not only evaluated the current and future energy needs of the zone, but also estimated the impact that developing each of the energy sector components would have on the zone.  GVE analyzed the power, oil, gas and mining sectors.

GVE identified a major strategic opportunity that could have massive economic development repercussions on the country.  The study defined the roadmap for the zone to follow in order to make the Aqaba zone a major player in the energy sector.  As a result of the study, the Aqaba authorities made significant changes to both their strategy and their master plan.
